Artist Statement
Emily Chaney graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2002. She has participated in the Park City and Logan art festivals. Her work is currently on display at the Paisley Pomegranate in Park City and Crowley Wilkerson Fine Art in Ogden and Eden.
She has been featured in Southwest Art Magazine in September 2007 issue. Chaney's first one-person show was also in September of 2007 at the Paisley Pomegranate. She was also featured in the Salt Lake Community College's Presidents Show in March 2008.
Currently she is working at an art gallery and completing her Masters in Education. Chaney uses color to catch the eye, and applies a mix of hard lines with blended brushstrokes to capture a moment. She is exploring the figure, landscape, and organic elements in her work.

Love this one! I met Ed through Mary Beth years ago and I think he would be a great subject for me, too. Hope your show goes well--sorry we can't make it!
