The colors of a Carnival. I started this in plein air for the West Jordan Fourth of July celebration. It's now going to be judged to see it has won a prize. I am keeping my fingers crossed. You never know with competitions what will win-if it's the subject matter or the quality of the work. With this piece I really enjoyed painting the colors, which were mostly right out of the tube. The lettering was tricky, trying to keep a steady hand.

Finally, I found someone who blogs less frequently than I do! I'm glad I found you so I could catch up blog style. Your work is looking great, I like the piece of you dad. You are brave to do plein air, not my cup of tea. Hope all is well with you!
